How to break up with a girlfriend?

Well I have my first girlfriend ever and we had a good time, but now it's time to breakup. How am I supposed to do this without making her sad. Like what do I say, how could I make it not as bad, if I should breakup in person, that kind of stuff.How to break up with a girlfriend?

do it in person and tell her exactly why you want to break up its that simple and she will get hurt its no way around it
It would be best to do it in person but you can't control how she is going to feel. Best to tell her you enjoy her company but would like to date other people.
