How do I break up with my girlfriend who still loves me?

We have tried being together before, but it hasn't worked out because of distance. I see her every holiday but only for a couple of days. When we're apart it feels like we lose the connection we have, and our conversations turn into hellos and goodbyes. She says she loves me, and that makes me feel bad since I want to break up with her. I just want to minimize the pain.How do I break up with my girlfriend who still loves me?
explain to her that it hurts you to be away from her for so long and that instead of feeling how you want to feel when you see her, you can't because you know its short lived. tell her you'd love to still talk, but the relationship should end for now and maybe if you two move closer to you, it can work out then.

well i get the feeling shes not satisfyed either and doesnt want to hurt u either,so why not go ahead and break it down to her and if she gets hurt at least u told the truth and she will have more respect for that later,long distance relationships are hard and the people involved have to be totally comitted,and ur not there,so do ur self a favor and be honest!
